Stories
made me
an artist.

I grew up on Jaws, Star Wars, Alien and King Kong—movies that made impossible worlds feel real. They led me to art, and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.

01

Skate graphics
& print.

I started out drawing skateboard graphics and logos in San Francisco. Working with rubylith and screen printing taught me composition, color and how much a single image can say.

02

Surf, design
& direction.

As an art director at Rusty and other action sports brands, I learned photography, design and how to guide a creative team. I loved the work, but the stories that had inspired me as a kid kept calling.

03

Characters,
worlds & film.

I followed that pull into cinematography, 3D, animation and real-time filmmaking. From Disney productions to my own short films, I’m drawn to the same thing: making a character or a world feel alive enough to believe in.

I’ve taught myself by following curiosity, making the work, and staying close to the stories that made me want to start.
